Matilda The Musical

What a way to kick of our first EVER workshop! Matilda The Musical! We took our new recruits and learnt a dance routine to the song ‘Revolting Children’ which they absolutely SMASHED. Then we looked at some of the scenes straight from the West End production, got into character and even had a chance to show parents before the end. On top of that we played some fun Drama Games all based around Matilda.
PAST WORKSHOPS
Grease!
We had some children go all out for our Grease workshop, coming along with a ‘T-Bird’ jacket to fit the theme! As always, plenty of Drama & Improvisation games were played right before we taught our Stage Stars a classic routine to ‘Greased Lightning’ - shortly after that we went through some scenes taking place at ‘Rydell High’. We focused on multi-roling and characterization.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
There is nothing we want more than to encourage our attendees to use their ‘Pure Imagination’ when it comes to our workshops, and never more so than at our Charlie and the Choc Factory Workshop. Not only did we have blast recreating scenes from the film/musical. We then did a fast paced pop dance routine called ‘Juicy!’. Everybody played their characters to perfection as they entered the Chocolate Factory and I’m sure most of them left with a sweet tooth and wanting more.
